When do we process your personal information?
Bergsala SDA AB process your personal information when you send us inqueries concerning warranty and service. Or if you apply for a job within our organization, or for some other reason contact use through e-mail.
What kind of personal information do we process?
When you send us a question regarding service or warranty you are also required to give us your name and e-mail address. If you give us your phone number and/or address, we are also processing those. You will give us your name and e-mail address if you register for our newsletter. In those cases we have contests we will ask for name, address and phone number from the winners so we can send the prize. By default we never ask for more personal information than is needed to fulfill our end of an agreement. In the point above, these agreements are to give you information by newsletters, handle a service or warranty case, handle a job application or sending a prize.
Why do we process your personal information?
When you send an inquery to our service center, we in return need to know your e-mail address so that we can reply to your question. Usually we only need your name and e-mail address for this. In case you send us a defective unit for repairs we also need to know your physical address so that we can return the repaired unit to you. In addition we also need your phone number for the postal services to send you a sms when the unit is ready to collect at your nearest postal service spot.
To be able to send a newsletter to you, we need to store your e-mail address together with you name.
With whom do we share your personal information?
By default we don't share your information with any third party. Sharing of your information may occur internally if the receiver of your question can't answer it and needs to forward it to someone else within the organization. Name and e-mail address that is given to us by registry for our newsletter is not shared with anyone except the person sending the newsletter.
For how long do we save your personal information?
We will keep your information for as long as it takes for us to fullfill our end on an agreement. That is, until we have answered your question/delivered your repaired unit and received a confirmation that the answer/repairs is accepted. Or up to 12 months. Please note that in case a financial transactions takes place, for example if you are required to pay for repairs, we will need to save your personal information for 7 years because of current book-keeping laws. We keep your personal information for newsletters until you unsubscribe.
What are your rights?
You have the right to know what information we currently have availible on you. You also have the right to have this information updated or purged from our systems. Updates and purge of information needs to be requested in a written letter. See information on the bottom of this page. It is in your right to turn to the authorities in case you feel we have failed in the safe keeping and processing of your personal information.
Unfortunently there is always a risk with sharing personal information over the internet. No systems are fail-safe. Here at Bergsala we have taken every reasonable precaution to keep our systems and your personal information as safe as possible.
In case you want to know what information we currently have availible on you, have your information changed or purged, you need to contact us. Please send a written physical letter to us. This letter needs to contain your name, e-mail address or some other information you believe we have on you. Since we continuously purge information from our systems it is possible that we will not find you. In case you ask to be purged from our systems you will not receive a confirmatios since all information will be purged and the letter you sent destroyed, and by that, we won't know where to send a confirmation.
